Is this a good deal on a used Sony Laptop computer? Can I increase RAM?

IS THIS A DECENT DEAL? CAN I INCREASE RAM? CAN I RUN HEAVY POWERPOINTS FROM AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE EFFECTIVELY THROUGH THIS MACHINE? I mainly want a portable computer because I write (just docs) on the road. Is this a good deal? THANKS

Seems expensive to me. You can find better deals than that all day long on eBay. Walmart sells a new laptop with 1GB of ram for $498.
This model of Sony comes standard with 64MB ram and is only upgradable to 128. It may run but you better have a lot of time.
