Types of Sharp LCD Projectors
Sharp produces three categories of projectors – boardroom/conference/classroom projectors, ultralight portable projectors, and fixed installation.
Sharp projectors are noted for beaming sharp quality images, their sleek and ergonomic design, portability, and attractive prices make it possible for the budget-conscious to have top quality LCD projectors. With 25 multi-media projectors for different uses, Sharp offers options to suit different needs without falling short on brightness, resolution, color contrast, and aspect ratio.
Sharp Projectors Specs
* Brightness -- The Sharp LCD projector such as the Notevision XG–C335X carries 3500 lumens which provides sharper and clearer images. This type of brightness is best suited for home theater entertainment but can also perform well in closed boardroom conferences. This illumination depends on the light emitted by the projector and the reflective capacity of the screen.
It does not mean however that the brighter light is always best. It depends on how the Sharp LCD projector is going to be used and for what purpose; the size of your screen and the ambient lighting in the room are other factors for consideration. But for home theaters, you don’t have to max out on brightness, just make it a point to get the screen that will complement the illumination from the projector.
* Color contrast – For viewing satisfaction of home movies everybody wants more color contrast between blacks and whites. This motion picture color contrast quality is a must for home theater entertainment but not a big issue for business presentations. A Sharp LCD projector 5000:1 will show off better contrast and if it’s home movies, go for higher contrast ratios.
* Resolution -- For your crystal clear home theater images, you can rely on the ratio specs of 1920x1080; although this is native to expensive units, this is a videophile’s ultimate dream of getting the best images from Blu-Ray disc players and HD DVDs. The least expensive resolution in the market is the 854x480 resolution which is NTSC compatible.
For classrooms and conferences, the Sharp LCD projector – the XG-C3303X 3 LCD shows off a display resolution of XGA 1024x768. This projector has sophisticated add-ons such as the four discrete stereo and audio inputs, selectable variable for fixed audio output, and quick release lens mechanism for easy replacement of projector lens.
* Aspect Ratio -- It is common to find an aspect ratio of 16:9 in any Sharp LCD projector designed for the big screen. The height to width ratio provides that cinematic style of high definition onscreen viewing experience that every movie buff wants to have at home.
If it is sharper images sans the added expense, browse the different Sharp LCD projectors; surely there will be one you’ll want to take home.
