ASK Proxima Projectors
When choosing projectors, one of the first technical specifications to look at is the native resolution. This is simply the number of pixels available to create images, which is usually designated with two numbers like 12080x800, with the first number relating to the horizontal row and the second number to the vertical row. Generally speaking, the higher the resolution, the clearer the picture and the pricier the projector.
However, consumers should not feel that their options are extremely limited based on their budget. With Proxima projectors, the choices in terms of picture resolutions are varied from the standard XGA to SVGA. Of course, the ASK Proxima projectors provide wide range of picture resolutions for various venues from installation projectors to mobile projectors for the home and office.

XGA and compatible Projectors
Extended Graphics Array, XGA for short, was introduced by IBM in 1990 and has since become the most commonly used resolution in the 1024x768 pixels market. With XGA Proxima projectors like the C500 for large venue performance and the A3200 for conference room presentations, picture quality is excellent albeit the cost itself can be pricier.
There are modifications to the XGA like the SXGA (1280x1024), the SXGA+ (1400x1050) and the UXGA (1600x1200), all of which have specific advantages in terms of clarity and contrast of pictures.
SVGA Projectors
Super Video Graphics Array (SVGA) is usually applied to projectors with resolutions of 800x600 pixels. This is normally of a lower resolution than XGA but is likewise cheaper in cost.
ASK Proxima projectors under the SVGA resolution include the A1100 projector for the conference room. Admittedly, the resolution is in the lower end but the contrast ratio (2000:1) more than makes up for it.
WXGA Projectors
Wide XGA (WXGA) is applied to wide screens. This can be considered as a derivative of the XGA display standard only that it is modified to fit wider screens. The designation as a WXGA projector applies to many resolutions from 1280x720 to 1366x768.
Proxima projectors with WXGA resolutions are the A1300 and the A3300, both for the meeting room and with resolutions of 1280x800 pixels, and the M22 for home and educational use. These ASK Proxima projectors feature flexibility and connectivity options that are often above industry standards.
