The advantages of lower resolution projectors like the SVGA are its cost efficiency since they are cheaper than higher resolution XGA projectors. Despite this difference, for non critical applications they have almost similar attractiveness and brightness in their pictures. Thus, if you are only presenting graphics and text in Powerpoint and your budget is tight, an SVGA may do the job just as effectively.
On the other hand, the advantages of higher resolution ASK Proxima projectors like the C500 and the C350 center on the fact that these can display clearer and brighter pictures, with more details. Also, the images themselves become less pixilated due to the smaller pixels. Thus, if you want more details to be seen in presentations, then XGA projectors are the best options.
However, as much as possible, always remember to match the resolution of the Proxima projectors you have in mind with that of the laptops/computers you have in order to secure maximum resolution benefits.
