would a line double improve the picture of my dlp projector?
I have a 720p/1080i dlp projector and want the best image possible.Right now it's crisp and clear with HDMI but just curious if a line doubler would make it look even better? it's set up at 110inches right now..
A 'line doubler' although technically correct is not the best term for it. You are actually asking about a scaler. Basically your projector already contains a scaler in order to match any incoming resolution with its' native resolution. (720p) When you compare two scalers whichever one can convert one resolution better and eliminate 'jaggy lines'/ artifacts/ along with maintaining a neutral picture is the best. There ar enumerous companies for scalers, the most popular utilize provessing from Faroudja and a newer entry to the home market Silicon Optix. Good Luck!
