Pico Projectors
As technology advances, devices like mobile phones, video players, PDAs and digital cameras and mini laptops are steadily shrinking in size. This has led to the problem in monitoring and display, the question of how to view and enjoy the vastly growing features, multimedia and rich content. As portability goes up, view-ability and screen size goes down. The Pico projector is the logical step to counter this display size problem.
Since making there way onto the “must have” gadget scene, pico projectors (sometimes called pocket projector, micro projector or handheld projector) have made continuous strides in their picture quality, brightness, resolution and energy consumption.

The next step which is occurring now as we speak, is the morphing of micro projectors into the very devices that they would be used with such as a PDA, MP3 player or mobile phone. In Korea, some cell phones already have built in projectors.
These pocket projector gadgets are really fun and have an exciting and intriguing secret agent feel to them. Technology is really reaching the levels of prior science fiction and fantasy.
Technically, most pico projectors utilize DLP technology, MEMs technology or LCOS technology. The light sources have generally been LED or laser. Many of the proprietary innovations are rapidly being developed and combined with other technologies to produce surprisingly good results.
