Difference between HDMI Home Theater and regular home theater?

Ok looking for a home theater for my TV HD, HDMI compatibility. But if I buy a home theater with HDMI and connect the TV via component, there will be much difference if so the HDMI version? Just looking towards the sound quality since my ps3 can not support its regular speakers on the TV.

HD Component cables transmit video up to 1080i, if you won, t notice a big difference in video quality (no, if your TV can not display 1080p). With the component HD, you will need to decide on an audio connection. Your PS3 has an HDMI out so it can resolve all your problems if your receiver has an HDMI input. You plug the PS3 into the receiver via HDMI, connect the receiver to the TV using component and you should be ready to continue. Other options include optical digital audio or Plain Old RCA (white / red) cables. Btw, these RCA cables should work on any setup ... it will be stereo, but it should work.
